Cookies by Design was born of an insightful desire to create a personalized gift that’s perfect for everyone and every occasion: birthdays, milestones, events, holidays--and just because. Originally founded as “Cookie Bouquets” by Gwen Willhite in 1983, our bouquets are a combination of two long-time gifting traditions: giving flowers and sweets. Our soft, buttery cookies are a signature blend of the highest quality ingredients, baked fresh daily, and artfully hand-decorated with our signature, velvety icing. Our custom cookie bouquets are hand-delivered or shipped across the country with a call or a click.

Gwen’s unique gift was an instant success quickly taking her from her kitchen to her first commercial location in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In three short years, her commercial success brought her to Dallas, Texas. Once established in Dallas, with business still blooming, Gwen began receiving requests from others wishing to operate a Cookie Bouquet shop of their own. In 1987, the first franchised location opened its doors—and many more followed. “Cookie Bouquets” became “Cookies by Design,” to better reflect our growing line of delicious offerings, including: decadent truffles, gourmet cookies, cookie sandwiches, cinnamon brown sugar cookies, cookie cakes, and specialty cupcakes.
